Posse Control

The Livermush Redoubt Posse is looking for some quality range-time.  Sheila in particular yearns for the space to stretch out her Dragunov's hard target interdiction capabilities to the 800-1200 yard realm.  Expert coaching would be especially well-received.  All the posse take instruction very well.

Suggestions?

Rex and the Mil-Dot Master

Having the right tools, and being able to use them, is maybe going to get real important in the near future.

Get your'n.  Disclaimer: I just found this listing at Midway, and CTD's crappy search system doesn't locate it.  Plus, I get tired of finding everything at Amazon and constantly linking to them.

Now, let's go shoot.

UPDATE: This pita process of producing a blog post and elements thereof not showing up in final publication is aggravating.  Thanks bunches, Bloggerdotcom.

To the Russian Federation

From the League of the South, this gesture of friendship and respect:

On behalf of traditional Southerners, The League of the South issues this open statement to the Russian Federation and its chief executive, Vladimir Putin, on the subject of US/NATO warmongering in Syria, the greater Middle East, Ukraine, and elsewhere.

We traditional Southerners look upon the people of Russia as fellow Christians who are seeking to protect themselves and their national interests from the corrupt and diabolical forces of globalism. We want no part of a war with the Russian Federation instigated by the USA/NATO alliance, the heart of the globalist cabal.

To us, neither Aleppo nor Kiev, among other places, is worth the risk of nuclear conflagration. We understand that the current crisis in Syria, for instance, is one of the US and NATO’s making.

Amen, I say, with a Rebel yell.

Re/Cross-Posting A Time To Kill

My campfire comrade LT says this is just as timely as it was several years ago, and I couldn't agree more.  Though I might take issue with the parchment, that shouldn't invalidate my endorsement and praise for his dedication to the ideal.  Because nobody loves warriors more than me.

I am reminded of the verse Isaiah 6:8 - Send me, Lord.

A Time to Kill by LT

I am a soldier.  I know what war looks like, what it sounds like, smells like, what it feels like in my soul.

I stand today in the twilight of my nation’s grace, looking into the darkness of impending war.

My sleep is troubled, knowing what awaits, yet the ignorant and the ‘true believers’ sleep easily in their delusions, and I am saddened by it.

Daily, I see the Blackhawk and Apache helicopters flying over my city, the military vehicles which appear so frequently now on our roads, often with ‘guns up’ in violation of Posse Comitatus, and I know why they prepare, that it is not far off.

Nightly I hear the report of gunfire near my home, the noise angry men make as they prepare to boil over.  These are not soldiers – they are but angry men.  And though I share their well-justified anger, I am cautious with them, for they are not disciplined, and they know not the face of war, nor the burdens it imposes upon mind, body, and soul.  Because of this, they are dangerous, and I am saddened by this – that dangerous men should roam the streets near my home, full of anger and the lust for vengeance.

All about me are the ceaseless murmurs of soulless politicians and media propagandists, who wear their agendas on their sleeves as a badge of superiority, and the boundless echoes of their contrived ‘message’ assaults me from all sides, even repeated from the mouths of dear friends, and I am saddened by it.

I bear witness to the fact that throughout my lifetime, the lifeblood of my republic has been drained away by greedy and self-serving men, from high to low, who contrive nought but deception against their neighbors and countrymen, and who fail to consider that their children and mine shall share the same fate, the same future, and I am saddened by it.

Claire Wolfe On Outlaws and Jokers

"We are the riders approaching. We are the servants quietly slipping out from the walls in the darkness. We are the thieves stealing the stores of goodwill stocked inside the keep. We are the betrayers of secrets that never should have been kept. We are the peasants who refuse to give our share of tribute. We are the traders in the black market, the market that forever eludes princely control. We are the ones who, when the martial music starts thumping and the mob is cheering … stop and think."

Royce and Buppert and Trump

Oh my.

I'm currently reading Kenneth W. Royce's Hologram of Liberty, and sincerely wish I could get this book in the hands of every last citizen, regardless how much they believe in and embrace the concept of government.

Royce quotes Ralph Boryszewski's The Constitution That Never Was:
...the Judiciary has managed to unlawfully secure great wealth and power from the very beginning, starting with the Constitutional Convention of 1787.  The American People have gotten an erroneous and distorted version of what actually went on at that convention.  Of the fifty-five men assembled in Philadelphia, a majority of thirty-four were lawyers; these lawyers were working for a constitution and government to serve themselves, not the people.  In 1787, the common people were suspicious of the delegates who had deliberated in secret and who had not provided a Bill of Rights for protection from the powerful national government...[to be] established. (Emphasis KWR)
Exactly like this guy, I didn't sign it, and won't be bound by it.

So, this morning I see that Bill Buppert has re-posted with much timeliness his short fiction Secession in Idaho series, that I think would be very encouraging if I really thought there was a governor in Idaho or anywhere with a backbone and heart full of Liberty.  Worth your time, if for no other reason than to whet your appetite for genuine independence.  A sample:

Go read the first installment; I think you'll like it.

And when James O'Keefe's new sting videos began stinging the empowered, their state media quickly tried to pivot the discussion to put The Donald on defense.  To wit: Given the preponderance of voter fraud exposed by O'Keefe, will you concede the election if the ballot boxes suggest you lost the election?  To his credit, The Donald remained non-committal.  But, I think he could spin it into a landslide...

In Hologram of Liberty, I learned that the Constitution was never ratified by a popular vote of the citizens, except for Rhode Island (who to their eternal credit voted against it 11-1!).  And the North Carolina delegates only agreed to ratify it after being promised a Bill of Rights.  What if, instead of the useless pledge to "ask Congress for a Constitutional Amendment for term limits" (per The Donald's 100-day pledge), Trump decides to take the States who voted for him into secession, adopt the old Articles of Confederation, and set up a referendum to ratify a "replacement" Constitution?

If voting is to mean anything at all, let it mean everything.  The only way to control this leviathan is to quarantine it.  Let Mordor on the Potomac have NYC and Chicago and El Lay and every county that votes for the Secretary of Skank.  Reclaim flyover country for the dirt people.  Declare Independence.

That's pretty much the only way I'll ever get excited about having a "president" again.  But that's easy for me to say, because I seceded years ago.

For Jen

Thanks again for the hospitality and care during my stay at Wake Baptist Resort and Spa.  Except for you and Nicole and Brittany, there wasn't much to write home about.

The following essay is the one I'd referenced, but I'm adding a second that I thinks is just as pertinent.  Image pilfered from WRSA.

From Zero Hedge, The Elite Have No Idea: a sample:
What I find most surprising today is that the insiders and the elite have no idea what is percolating just beneath the surface.  Okay, maybe their arrogance actually produces its own fog, so it should not come as a surprise that they are blinded. They do not look at the calendar, which, if one really looks, says "1788" on it.  Something is close.  Very close.  Society is near the breaking point.

My own experience is that Hillary’s so-called Deplorables are actually the most reserved, most polite, and most honest demographic in the country. They are more informed, more self-reliant, and among other things, better armed.  Regarding their arms, they are incredibly responsible, and not the source of the violence for which the implement, and not the person, is too often blamed.  The Deplorables have the longest fuse.  It is, however, a fuse.

An even more valuable essay, especially I think for anyone living within 5 miles of a Walmart Supercenter and the population supported thereby, would be Bracken's When The Music Stops:

A new social contract has been created, where bread and circuses buy a measure of peace in our minority-populated urban zones. In the era of ubiquitous big-screen cable television, the internet and smart phones, the circus part of the equation is never in doubt as long as the electricity flows. But the bread is highly problematic. Food must be delivered the old-fashioned way: physically. Any disruption in the normal functioning of the EBT system will lead to food riots with a speed that is astonishing. This will inevitably happen when our unsustainable, debt-fueled binge party finally stops, and the music is over. Now that the delivery of free or heavily subsidized food is perceived by tens of millions of Americans to be a basic human right, the cutoff of “their” food money will cause an immediate explosion of rage. When the hunger begins to bite, supermarkets, shops and restaurants will be looted, and initially the media will not condemn the looting. Unfortunately, this initial violence will only be the start of a dangerous escalation.

The ransacked supermarkets, convenience stores, ATMs and gas stations will not be restocked during this period due to the precarious security situation. A single truck loaded with food or gasoline would be perceived to be a Fort Knox on wheels and subject to immediate attack unless heavily protected by powerfully armed security forces, but such forces will not be available during this chaotic period. Under those conditions, resupply to the urban areas cannot and will not take place. The downward spiral of social and economic dysfunction will therefore both accelerate and spread from city to city. These delays, in turn, will lead to more riots with the constant underlying demand that hungry people be fed, one way or another.

Even those of us with foresight and a plan are going to have to get mighty lucky, when the poop hits the propeller.  Those who get surprised, on the other hand, won't stand a chance.  And the only reason for them to be surprised is that they wouldn't listen to those of us who've studied history.

Secede, Each and Everyone

For Jesse James & the Virginia Freemen:

We need not necessarily abolish the State, though that be certainly favorable to its existence.  At the very least we need to get its guns pointed away from its citizens who choose to shuck that State's cumbersome yoke.

On Pepe & Kek & the Alt Right

This is pretty humorous, though I've not been in much of a laughing disposition lately.

Saw this last week and sat on it, but the timing's about right for this evening's big goat rodeo (which I didn't even know about until a few hours ago).

If you hear anything about the Alt Right tonight, or Pepe, or "deplorables", this is the guy...
And this is the story behind the cartoon frog.

I watched this video in the article, and couldn't stop singing the song.  You're welcome.

Show of hands, who hopes Cankles chokes to death on that frog tonight.?

Unsubscribe Me, Too

"I went to the woods to live deliberately, but the FBI shot and killed my son and my wife." - Randy Henry David Weaver Thoreau.

The folks at the Daily Bell (H/T Bracken) conclude that Comey the Clown should resign.  I firmly believe the whole gang should quit, as there's not a speck of integrity in the FBI.

If there isn't already someone internally cleaning house at the Justice Department or FBI (there isn't, because "bravery" is also in woeful short supply), and Comey does resign, where do you find his replacement?

Update: Also via Bracken, Thomas Lifson at American Thinker.
So with a month left until the election, we now know that James Comey and the FBI took steps to not only cover up their own investigation, they took steps to make sur(e) that future investigators would not have critical evidence.
