Almost to a man, both the 58's and the non-political offenders were hardworking family people capable of manifesting valor only in lawful ways, on the orders of and the approval of the higher-ups. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn
I saw your post on my blog and I find the entire raid very interesting. It sounds like these people may have warranted investigation. I'm sure more information about them will come out. However, I also have no doubt that the media and particularly THIS administration will use it to paint all opposition to Obama as violent right wingers.
Unfortunately for them, one of the "terrorists" is a registered democrat which is probably why we haven't heard more about this group.
Let's see how this plays out in court. If a lot of the charges are "dropped" or "dismissed" that will tell you a lot of what you need to know about this incident.
Howdy Ken, thanks for coming by. I value your opinion in general, but was really looking forward to your input on this subject.
Yes, people that I trust who know these folks (by their reputation, at least, perhaps a little better), suggest that they were begging to get noticed. And I don't doubt for a second that they were striking a very threatening pose. But the story that they (the Hutaree) intended to indiscriminantly murder groups of cops is awfully hard to accept. Unless they are radical LEFT-wing nutcases, or hell-bent on martyrdom, what could they have been expecting to achieve, if killing policemen was their plan? And it's all too convenient if you're the arresting entity and need to paint these assholes in the worst possible light.
Nobody likes cop-killers, especially cops, right? Mighty swell of the Feds to come save the day for those anonymous, would-be targets. Certain to reinforce the loyalties of local law enforcement, if and when some future confrontation becomes likely with a group of armed civilians, I'm sure.
Throw in the factor of those CAIR folks publicly commenting on it before Drudge or anyone else had reports, and while the warrants were still sealed, and I can't help but suspect that the "official story" had already been written and proliferated.
I hope you are right that the whole truth comes out, in due time. I'm not in a militia, or particularly close to any, but I don't value seeing them and police set in conflict, particularly in a scenario which appears so possibly manufactured by the federal government.
Again, good to hear from you sir. I hope you and the Missus are keeping yourselves well.
Isn't that a great video!!!
