Not Too Late

For a worthwhile New Years resolution.  You're probably a wonderful person, just as you are, even if you eat too many procrastinations, drink too many cigarettes, or smoke too much caffeine.

A RESOLUTION

We hereby recognize that the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama has been a disaster. The corruption, incompetence and lack of experience demonstrated by the President, his advisers and allies in the U.S. Congress and the American news media have made Americans worse off economically and have damaged our alliances around the world and placed us at a disadvantage in relation to our enemies.

Four more years of this failed, corrupt and recklessly radical presidency would impart lasting and irreparable damage on the fabric of this country and expose us to further economic decline and dangers from overseas.

Therefore, we hereby resolve...

Additionally, you can resolve to read more at Mike's America, Hillbilly White Trash, and On Motivation & Chocolate, any of which will make you feel smarter than a Holiday Inn Express.

NOTE: One caveat I had to Mike's Resolution is that if Kooky Ron gets the nomination, I'll support a scheme to launch a third party and camp out on Chris Christie's lawn until he agrees to run.

An Even Better Film

There was one thing, however...

The one good thing to come from these past three years is the confirmation that the worst and most sinister enemies of America will come, not from abroad, but from within.  And that they won't actually look like wolves, but will be dressed in warm, disarming smiles accompanied by soothing and gentle voices.

Drivin' the Car

I like the "President's" car metaphor, but not the picture he paints with it.  He's driving it, all right.  But, he's drunk.  Or, he's smoking crack again.  But he's driving very recklessly, and his car is not road-worthy, and he is endangering the lives of everyone else on the road.  I think of his metaphorical car, and I picture that wobbly rig the Little Rascals built.
"We ain't gots no brakes, Alfalfa, we's free-wheelin'!"
Pull over, asshole.  Don't make us ram your punk ass into a bridge abutment.

Yield the right-of-way to vehicles capable of maintaining a safe speed in the fast lane, and operators who aren't obsessed with putting on makeup, driving with their knees, talking on the cell phone, and musing about their next appearance on Comedy Central or The View.  Your learner's permit has been revoked.

Or, as Michelle Malkin puts it today, Take Your Olive Branch And Shove It.

Now you say that if Republicans want to discuss changes to the healthcare fiasco, you're ready to listen?

Rrriiiiiight.

Like you and your cronies were listening when you rammed that scheme, "deem-and-pass-it-so-we-can-find-out-what's-in-it, down our throats?

Driving the economy does not require, as you pretend, Democrats Corruptocrats and Republicans working together.  It requires you getting your ass out of the way.  Time for the adults to retake the wheel.

Do you believe that perhaps the Conspirator In Chief thinks that "Ground Zero" is named after him?

Kick Here

If you're the guy occupying the Presidency, and you're "sitting around talking to experts" in an effort to learn whose "ass to kick," recognize my upstretched hand.

It is I.

I am America.  I am your opposition.  I am the person whose Liberty and singularity you've methodically sought to abolish.  I am Joe the Plumber.  I am Capitalism and self-reliance.  I am John Galt.  I am a white man devoid of white guilt.  I thumb my nose at Islam and their prophet.  I'm John Wayne.  I'm a Southerner with a truck, and I stand with Israel.  I pledge allegiance and honor the Anthem and the Flag with my hand over my heart.  I abhor and shun perversion, and would never hire a child-molestor to be "safe-schools czar".  I never showed up at my job just to vote "present."  I'm a friend of the Tea Parties.  I'm an ecologist who doesn't subscribe to the global warming hoax.  I'm a US citizen, and able to prove it.  I sing God Bless America... with conviction. I am the original captain of the Olympic Ass-Kicking Team.  And whipping me would win you the esteem of all your true believers...like Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, Michael Moore, Janeane Garofolo, Hugo Chavez, ad nauseum.

We could get a Pay-Per-View event set up, sell access at $50 per household, and pay down the national debt.  Or someone could just lock the two of us in a room for ten minutes.  Let your "expert" James Cameron set up a video camera in that room, and he can sell the "cold-cockumentary" at the theatres.  That'd be my preference, but I ain't too picky. Even if it's just the two of us, for what it's worth, you won't be the "smartest person in (that) room."

I just got sliced open last weekend and still have some staples in my gut, but like John Wayne says to Bruce Dern in The Cowboys, "...on my worst day, I'd still beat the hell outta you."

Any time.  Anywhere.  For any amount of money.

You think you're a bad muthafucka competent leader?  Come meet one.  I'm America, and I'm calling your punk ass out.

The Enemies Of My Enemies Are My Friends

My buddy Ted sent me the following video, forwarded on from a friend of his.  His friend, the originator of the email, seemed to have more affection (based on the language in his text) for Obama than for Reverend Manning.  That is, the friend's words belied a bit of condescension regarding Manning, which from my point of view is misplaced considering how loathsome the alternative (Obama) is by comparison.

A brief search suggests that this video is from around the time of the 2008 election, so it's not quite cutting edge media.

I believe Dr. Manning is correct that an uprising is at hand, and he is quite welcome on the team of good guys.

"This man is destroying what God loves!" says Reverend Manning, whose doctorate is in philosophy, according to the Atlah Ministries website.

Dr. Manning's delivery may seem a bit comical, if you listen to it as if it's a news program, which is as it is designed to appear.  But, Dr. Manning is a preacher, and he's speaking to his congregation in a way to which they can relate.  The thing I believe caught my friend's friend's attention is the disgust from one black citizen regarding the Obamination.  Well, let me be the first to tell you, there's lots of influential black men and women who aren't singing Obama's (or his fellow corruptocrat's) praises.  You aren't likely to see them, if you get your current events from the ostrich media.  Want more from Reverend Manning?  Right-click the above video and watch it at YouTube...and you'll see another dozen such vids in the sidebar.

Regular readers of the ST&L will know, however, one of my favorites is Alfonzo Rachel.  Who, incidentally, also has an essay at Big Hollywood where he shoots Bill Maher (figuratively, dipshits) in the foot.

Enjoy:

Credit Where Credit's Due

At the White House yesterday, the O!Bummer hosted the University of Connecticut's women's basketball team, NCAA champions, and said, "I want to point out that the team has not lost since I was elected president."

In fact, their last loss came in March of 2008.  And since his predecessor is responsible for everything else, let's be perfectly clear.  Any credit for their success is directly attributable to George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

Perhaps the Apologizer-In-Chief should more appropriately take credit for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers' "success-rate" during his occupation of the Oval Office.

Just sayin'...

The "WOW, I COULDA HAD A V-8" Moment

One of my favorite fellow bloggers is William Jacobson (Cornell Law Professor), at Legal Insurrection.  Recently, he wrote that he had heard from an old friend of his, a main stream liberal democrat, who called to say that Jacobson was right about Obama, after all.  He writes:

In the past my friend very much enjoyed getting me agitated by frequently mentioning the latest Frank Rich or Maureen Dowd column about the evil of Sarah Palin. At his age, getting me aggravated was pretty much his main form of entertainment.

In the months after the election the relationship was somewhat strained. There were certain things we just didn't talk about, although he would poke me in the political eye from time to time.

I haven't spoken to my friend in many months, probably since the fall or summer. So I was pleased when his name showed up as an incoming call on my cell phone, although I wondered how we would dance around the subject of Him.

The first sentence out of his mouth was, "Let's get it out of the way, you were right about Obama."

I have a few friends who, along with me, recognized the Obamination for what he was and what he represented long before the '08 election.  But, most of the folks I know, including most family members and many friends (and acquaintances who've since managed to keep a safe distance from me: "Don't stand too close to a Constitutionalist Republican, else you get mistaken for a racist!"), subscribed to the hope-n-changery rhetoric.

So, this report gave me some hope that people I know might actually someday, likewise, change their hideously abrasive tune.  I'm not so big on having someone tell me I was right...hell, that's like saying that water is wet.  I just hope that some of the "easily duped" I care for, can one day extricate themselves from the camps of "those who hate America."

On a similar note, I read a concisely accurate comment on another blog recently.  Obama may still have his supporters, and those people seem to have difficulty with a rational discussion over the merits of his intentions.  While I can sling descriptors like SOCIALIST at him all day long, those folks won't bat an eye.  But, ask yourself this question...

Q: If Obama (or those people who he answers to) wished to sabotage America's economy, abandon national security, and destroy the country, is there anything that he (or they) would do different, from what they have done?

A: No.

The words that I write here are all in the hopes that the people I love will soon make amends for the mistake they saddled us all with, back in November 2008.  The phone call would be nice, but I don't need that.  I just hope that the enemies of my country soon find out that fewer and fewer of those people can be counted in their camp.

Obamacare: A Fairy Tale (cross-posted)

I never re-post essays that I find in their entirety, but I'm going to this time, so you'll not have to actually go elsewhere to enjoy all its greatness.  Note: the links in the original did not play along as expected, so you will have to visit there to access those goodies, my little limp-wristed deviants.  Emphasis mine...

Obamacare: A Fairy Tale- or, How The Gay Community Lost Its Magic Power
by Charles Winecoff at Big Government dot Com

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away – called New York City – there was a special place where fairies could go when they weren’t feeling well. It was known as the Gay Men’s Health Project. The friendly bears and slender youths who ran this magical dispensary helped unlucky fairies mend their wings and wee-wees so they could get back to working through their issues and flit off to the nearest after-hours disco, bath house, abandoned truck or dilapidated pier.

Because they knew the empire wasn’t going to do it for them, the handsome lords and lads of Greenwich Village worked in unison to take care of their own kind. An invisible tribe that blended easily into the population at large, they understood that the heterosexist king’s medicine men were not attuned to their unique needs; they did not want uncaring jesters from the court making choices about their bodies. So the fairies raised their voices as loud as they could to make sure they had access to like-minded, sympathetic healers who would not make them feel ashamed of their behavior (and would get them back on the dance floor ASAP).

Then, in the year of eight tens and two, the fairies began to wither by the thousands and fall from the sky. No one knew why. So those who were still of able body came together again to build a new safe haven specifically for their sick brothers: a non-profit service organization called the Gay Men’s Health Crisis. Thanks to the actions and determination of these bold heroes, GMHC succeeded in providing legal aid, counseling, and even some housing to 15,000 fellows affected by HIV and AIDS.

But the elders, led by the prophet Larry Kramer, soon became weary of doing all the work themselves. They wanted support from the royal court. So they amassed an army specifically to agitate and create awareness of the needs of their ailing brethren. They called their legion of troops ACT UP, and their motto was SILENCE = DEATH.

The warrior fairies did not trust the king and queen, who hailed from a make-believe place called Hollywood. Even though there were many fairies in Hollywood, the elders imagined that the king, whose name was marked by a malevolent ”R,” would round up their infected friends and lock them in concentration camps. The fairies only trusted royals whose names boasted a benevolent ”D.”

So fearing the worst, they paid no heed to the warnings of their own shamans. Instead, they fought to protect their underground turf from the imaginary menace of the “R” invaders by keeping their fairy-only, non-reproductive recreation centers open. Thousands more fairies fell from the sky.

Time passed. Powerful potions were eventually conjured up to keep infected fairies healthy and alive. Kings began to grant them audiences, and the peasantry as a whole became more accepting of their existence, and appreciative of their hard history. The fairies were celebrated and honored for the injustices they endured. The peasantry took extra care to be more tolerant of fairy feelings.

But the fairies couldn’t reciprocate. They didn’t know how to trust or to let down their guard. They had become addicted to attention, self-pity, and anger.

When the two mighty towers were destroyed by flying far-right religious trolls, who had a blood-soaked and homophobic history, the new king took fierce action to prevent any further attacks. But because this king also sported an “R’ after his name (and wore a cowboy hat), the fairies felt it was against their religion (D-ism) to support his efforts.

Instead, they mocked him, accused him of plotting a sinister master plan, and prayed for his assassination. They stood in solidarity with anyone who railed against the “R”-lettered king. And they remained willfully ignorant of the plight of their less fortunate fellow fairies in far-away lands, who were still being brutalized by evil trolls. They were no longer capable of recognizing an enemy.

Domestic fairies enjoyed many fetishes, but none was so great as their fetish for the letter “D.” They became isolated from the rest of their countrymen within their own affluent domain, commonly referred to as “the gay ghetto.” They became obsessed with how they were portrayed in minstrel shows, and they presented golden statuettes to any princess who extolled their virtues in the Land of Make Believe. They became lazy and self-satisfied, but annoyed that some people still lived by ancient beliefs and rules that did not include them. They demanded that all beliefs and customs that did not take them into consideration be “reformed” (whether or not they really wanted anything to do with those beliefs).

Finally, in the year twenty and nine, a Savior arrived who was similar to the trolls in color and name, but who wore a holy letter “D.” He promised to be the fairies’ best friend. He promised to ban the law of the land that prevented them from joining in blessed unions like the rest of the peasantry. He also vowed to allow the fairies to serve, in all their proud flamboyance, in His armed forces.

But the King’s seductive words proved meaningless. He was more concerned with soothing the savage trolls with His charm - to what end, no one was sure – while dreaming up ways to siphon the peasants’ money.

To that end, the King passed a grand law that, He declared, would improve the physical and financial health of every single person under the crown, including the fairies. But the peasant majority was suspicious of the King’s intent, and challenged Him, loudly and publicly. This made the King frown, and totally threw Him off his game.

The King wasn’t interested in what the peasants wanted. He believed He was the smartest man in the world. So He just scowled, and lectured, and got His way. His royal henchmen laughed in the faces of the good, hard-working peasants.

The fairies, who were once the most boisterous rebels in all the land, didn’t rush to the peasants’ defense. They made not even a peep. Transfixed by the King’s big “D,” their fairy spirit had been paralyzed. Polarized by pride (and prejudice), they were no longer able to question authority - and certainly not the motives of their smiling Messiah.

It didn’t matter that many of the witch doctors who had long toiled to eradicate AIDS doubted that the King’s costly law would actually be beneficial to ailing fairies, leaving them instead with fewer, less potent spells.

It didn’t matter that nowhere in the final law passed by the all the King’s men were the fairies’ needs – medical or legal - even mentioned. Those crucial words had vanished, quietly replaced by a pricey call for abstinence, something the fairies had long shunned.

It didn’t matter that a provision giving the loving partners of fairies the same tax exclusion as peasant spouses on the value of employer-provided health benefits was also removed. It didn’t matter that the King’s law (which He called “my bill”) made it more advantageous for fairies to remain unmarried.

It didn’t matter that a prosperous mouthpiece for the fairies openly announced his disappointment in the decree, or that a spokesperson for the King declined to comment.

It didn’t matter that one of the King’s henchmen declared that, more important than healing fairies’ bodies, the new law would fix the “mal-distribution” of wealth among the peasantry. Nor did it matter that another apple-polisher let it slip that the underlying goal was “to control the people.”

And it didn’t matter that the UN, which was teeming with fairy-hating trolls, hailed the King’s bill as a demigodsend.

The only thing that mattered to the fairies was that their King had a “D” after his name. In their hard-won comfort, they had forgotten how to fight. They waved away any inconvenient reality that didn’t glorify the mythical icon. Their own tough, triumphant past no longer moved them. A pampered new generation of fairies mistook ”equality” for “freedom,” and had no knowledge of the fickle nature of politics or safety. They believed Lady Gaga was forever.

SILENCE now equalled COMPLICITY.

And so they marched in unison again. Only this time, it wasn’t a movement born of urgency, compassion, or even thought. It was the catatonic death march of the true believer. The fairies had turned into the fanatics they once abhorred. And that is how they gave up their magic power and lost their ability to soar.

Yes, Virginia, there is an end to this story. We just don’t know exactly what it is yet.

I read somewhere else that everything the Obamessiah has ever said should come with an expiration date.  We knew how threatening this guy was to the concept of Liberty, and recognized his rhetoric as such.  Those in the middle were swayed by the smooth reading of a teleprompter, but recently seem to be coming out of their daze.

You fruitcakes thought you had Slick-Willie back on the throne, but it looks like Barry the Muslim has as little regard for you as I do.

Feeling jilted, yet?

Dear Israel,

My country's Usurper In Chief does not speak for me or my country.  Do what you wish with your land; do what you wish to your enemies.  Your enemies are my enemies.

The so-called President of these United States is a Muslim, and we are learning to despise him, just as he despises you.  Do not feel guilty for your distrust of him.  We don't trust him, either.  He won't place his hand over his heart when regarding the Flag, and does not pledge his allegiance to America, because his allegiances are to those who wish our undoing, just as he wishes your undoing.

If you call me at 3AM, I will answer, and I would come help, if possible.  I still owe those bastards for what they did to 3000 of my real brethren.

Such is true for a great many of us.  Most of us, in fact.

Your friend,

Jeff

Perversions.

If you want one example of how deplorably sickening the consequences of your voting have been or could be, exhibit A:

Imagine a person having a job where he has the authority to teach your 7-year old son or daughter the "benefits" of activities like fellatio, fisting, cunnilingus, and sodomy.  Imagine also that this person fully advocates adult-on-child sexual relations (it's called pedophilia), or defends and supports those who do.  Imagine also that this person gets paid over $270,000 per year for helping lead the effort to pervert your children.

Who pays him?

You do.

Who hired him?

Barack Hussein Obama.

What's his name, title, and job description?

Kevin Jennings.  "Safe schools Czar."  His job description is to eradicate the stigma of being a homosexual, by legitimizing sexual deviance.  He, and his supporters, know that desensitizing your Kindergartener to the otherwise shocking idea of an adult inserting his entire fist in her rectum will make the perversion of homosexuality seem so much less-threatening by comparison.

I don't have kids, but I wouldn't leave this scum-sucking piece of shit alone with my dog.

At biggovernment.com, Jim Hoft reports that 12 national conservative groups co-endorsed a letter to BHO demanding that Jennings' employment be terminated.  A portion of that letter...

As head of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), Mr. Jennings is on record as promoting liberal sex education and homosexual themes to children as early as Kindergarten.

Now, additional information comes to light regarding Mr. Jenning’s association with GLSEN “Fistgate” Conferences, encouraging extreme sexual practices in children as young as 14. After objections were raised to that matter, Mr. Jennings announced that GLSEN presentations and presenters would be more closely monitored. But then, the following such conference included the handing out of “Fisting Kits” to children. The descriptions of the use of these kits are beyond imagination. To endorse this behavior, much less promote it, is unforgivable.
At the end of his post, Hoft also mentions (and links to) Congressman Michael Burgess' bill, HR 966, and I hope the bill at least gets through committee to the floor of the House.  But at the same time, I'd like to see the bill that similarly calls for the dismissal of the morally bankrupt bastard who hired Jennings, and who continues to defraud the American people: Barack Obama.

I promise you, fair reader, that if you witness the material this guy wants your children to be taught, not just given access to (which is abominable enough), but taught, you'll be as disgusted as I am.

This ain't leadership...this is an eradication of decency.  And it's not an accident.

It's bad enough that unredeemable scum like Jennings is allowed to breathe the air in this country, but it's absolutely gut-wrenching that a United States President could look objectively at someone like this and consider him even remotely qualified to earn a paycheck at the taxpayers' expense...

...much less, much, much, much less than hold any kind of leadership role over the educational fate of children.

The KSM madness regenerates itself

It seems that the more indefensible an action is by this administration, the faster the loony left moves to actually defend it.  Proof that no matter how wrong and potentially disastrous putting KSM in a federal courtroom is, there are people out there insane enough (or intoxicated enough on the fumes of their "movement"), that they'll still carry O!Bummer's water.  I really expected them be sitting this argument out, as if saying, "Okaaaayyyy, you're on your own here, dipshit."

But, as Sister Toldjah reports, AG Holder has the nerve to call those of us who oppose this foolishness "cowards."  As does perpetual leg-tingler Moulitsas.  The Sister, quoting Andrew McCarthy's rebuke (National Review Online), however...

That is, Pres. Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, experienced litigators, fully realize that in civilian court, the Qaeda quintet can and will demand discovery of mountains of government intelligence. They will demand disclosures about investigative tactics; the methods and sources by which intelligence has been obtained; the witnesses from the intelligence community, the military, and law enforcement who interrogated witnesses, conducted searches, secretly intercepted enemy communications, and employed other investigative techniques. They will attempt to compel testimony from officials who formulated U.S. counterterrorism strategy, in addition to U.S. and foreign intelligence officers. As civilian “defendants,” these war criminals will put Bush-era counterterrorism tactics under the brightest public spotlight in American legal history.

This is exactly what President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder know will happen. And because it is unnecessary to have this civilian trial at all, one must conclude that this is exactly what Obama and Holder want to see happen.
This post of hers is far better and more thorough than anything I could submit on the subject.  So please swing by her place (and the link to the National Review article) and read the rest.  Obama's base is composed of those who salivate over a weakened America.  This is Obama playing to his base.

30 YEARS(!) of appeasement still doesn't work

My first thought on seeing the Youtube video box below with the heading "Obama admits he is a Muslim" was that among the 9:57 worth of recording, there would be one short quip that could be taken a number of ways. I figured it'd be one ten-minute speech that contained a minor mis-phrasing.

Au contraire, mon frere.

And, although I was pretty critical regarding most of his campaign rhetoric (Afghanistan, economy, Gitmo, his proximity to Ayers/Wright/Soros/Dorhn/ad infinitum, his questionable allegiance), I pretty much accepted his assertion that he was a Christian. Having watched the evidence collected in this 10min video montage, there is no question now that every claim that he is, or ever was, anything but a Muslim, is a facade.

For those friends, neighbors, and relatives of mine who've chosen to give him a pass on so many of the cringe-worthy things I've written and spoken about, how do you watch the words come out of this man's mouth and then stick your heads back in the sand?

Wednesday sadly marked the 30-year anniversary of the first Islamic terror attack on US soil: Iranian Muslims stormed the American embassy, and held American diplomats hostage for 444 days. The central point in Thursday's shooting spree at Ft. Hood was not that the shooter was a psychiatrist, but that he is a Muslim. He didn't go nuts; he was making a religious and political statement. He's a terrorist. If you're a terrorist sympathizer (or apologist), you are a terrorist.

Again to my friends, neighbors, and relatives: Watch the video and please tell me what part of you still endorses this bastard. At what point does campaign rhetoric, and the veracity therein, or lack thereof, cross a line with you? Methinks that a man's faith has got to be an unwavering constant, and that misrepresentation on that point, for the sake of political expediance must, absolutely must, be a last straw for you, finally.

Hat-tip to Robert at American & Proud.

UPDATE: Read about other radical militant muslims who were enlisted soldiers in our own military from Michelle Malkin, and notably the following quotes from this terrorist:

There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that “IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE” and Allah (SWT) knows best.

"Revenge of the normal"

Let's check the score. In New Jersey, with a knee-jerk-to-the-Left populace, and the Ostrich Media firmly in the tank for the Democratic candidate, and O!Bummer campaigning ardently, no not just campaigning, but campaigning so hard that some folks thought that Obama himself was the incumbent Governor ...for the Democrat, and the Donkey outspending the Elephant 3 to 1, conservative Republican Chris Christy thumped Liberal Democrat Jon Corzine. Christy not only beat Corzine, but did so in spite of an Independent third candidate (that touted himself as conservative) bleeding off some Christy votes. Christy beat Corzine in every demographic.

If you've long since grown sick and tired of the Big Zero's (Obama's) endless campaigning, are you as happy as me this A.M. that he's finally getting the "referendum" he's been looking for?

If 8% of NY-23's voters hadn't pulled the lever for Scuzzy (who refused to drop out of the race) just because she still had the "R" after her name, not to mention the misinformed of her supporters who were duped into voting for Owens based on her endorsement, Hoffman would have trounced Owens. And the Virginia Governor's race decided by nearly 20%? In spite of more Obama campaigning?

Okay, okay, okay. This is your messiah...this is your messiah's big-government schemes...(SPLAT!)...Any questions?

I am so doing the ridiculously embarrassing happy dance this morning.

And, oh yeah...Hey, O!Bummer. I've read where someone suggested that you were waiting on these elections to play out before making a decision to follow Gen. McCrystal's request for more troops. Can you please now man-up, get the fuck out of the way, endorse the troop surge, and let better men than you go finish the job in Afghanistan?

You need a win, dipshit.

Puttin' the biscuit in the basket

If you've been doing as you were told, you've been coming here on a daily basis and checking through my blogroll for updated nuggets, and at least clicking the Ann Coulter link on a weekly basis so some of her brilliance might rub off on you. Something tells me, though, you've been remiss. This is me...telling you. Consider this blog your vital FAVORITES FILE for kick-starting your websurfing. Don't make me come down there.

Case in point, if you haven't visited Miss Coulter's site recently, here's your chance to catch up. Last week, she tried to help the Obamination fit a difficult decision over troop-strength (and honoring the input of his chosen military expert) between rounds of golf:
The question of whether President Obama should send more troops to Afghanistan misses the point.

What Obama really needs to do is: Invent a time machine, go back to the 2008 presidential campaign and not say, over and over and over again, that Afghanistan was a "war of necessity" while the war in Iraq was a "war of choice." (Oh, and as long as you're back there, ditch Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett and that gay "school safety" czar.)

The most important part of warfare is picking your battlefield, and President Bush picked Iraq for a reason.

Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan attacked us on 9/11 -- or the dozen other times American embassies, barracks and buildings came under jihadist onslaught since Jimmy Carter presided over "regime change" in Iran in 1979. Both countries -- and others -- gave succor to terrorists who had attacked the U.S. repeatedly, and would do so again.

As liberals endlessly reminded us during the three weeks of war in Afghanistan before the U.S. military swept into Kabul, Afghanistan has all the makings of a military disaster. It is mountainous, cave-pocked, tribal, has no resources worth fighting for and a populace that makes Khalid Sheikh Mohammed look like Alistair Cooke.

By contrast, Iraq had a relatively educated, pro-Western populace, but was ruled by a brutal third-world despot.

It's always something with the Muslims. You either have mostly sane people governed by a crazy dictator -- Iraq, Iran and Syria (also California and Michigan) -- or a crazy people governed by relatively sane leaders -- Pakistan and Afghanistan, post-U.S. invasion (also Vermont and Minnesota). There are also insane people ruled by insane leaders (but enough about the House Democratic Caucus). Sane people with sane rulers has not been fully tried yet.
And this week, she (once again) takes Matthews and (my favorite whipping-boy of hers) Olbermann out behind the woodshed. This is Ann going five-hole on Keitheepoo:

Every informed student of the 1988 campaign knows that the Bush ad didn't show Horton's picture. And yet in Keith's discussion of Bush's allegedly vile, racist use of Willie Horton, he used a phony version of the ad, doctored to include a photo of Horton.

I don't blame Keith personally for this blatant distortion: He gets all his research material from Markos Moulitsas and other left-wing bloggers, so he can't be held responsible for the content of his show. Keith's principal contribution to the program is his nightly display of self-congratulation and pompous douche-baggery.

Remember, Keith, like his MSNBC colleague Contessa Brewer, majored in "communications" in college, not a research-related field, such as political science. In his coursework, he learned such skills as: Dramatically Turning to Camera, Hysterical Self-Righteousness, Pausing Portentously and Gravely Demanding Apologies/Resignations From Various Public Figures.

Given this background, it's understandable that Keith will make errors. As viewers witnessed recently, he can't even pronounce the name of prominent American economist and philosopher, Thomas Sowell. (Although he did spend three weeks at a Berlitz course in Arabic honing his pronunciation of "Abu Ghraib" to razor-sharp prissiness.)

The bloggers and Keith bring different skill sets to the game. They provide the tendentious half-truths, phony opinion polls and spurious social science, while Keith provides his booming baritone, gigantic "Guys and Dolls" suits and gift for ridiculous, fustian grandiloquence. Keith is far better equipped than, say, the pint-sized, girly-voiced, Frito Bandito-accented Markos Moulitsas to deliver the party line.

But here's the fly in the ointment: Keith has once again been victimized by left-wing blogs into thinking that the 1988 Bush ad showed Willie Horton's picture, when in fact, Horton's race was deliberately scrubbed from the ad.

Again, in fairness to Keith, he's never been a "content guy." He was a communications major. (The agriculture school Keith attended offered a degree in this field.) He lifts the material for his show from liberal blogs, overwrites it, and throws in his trademark smirking and snorts. But that's all he does because, again, he was a communications major.
When you read Ann Coulter's work (and why don't you have Godless on your nightstand?) you can't help but be better-informed. You'll get a chuckle out of how masterfully she beats down the Ostrich Media, but you'll also glean wisdom worthy of Krauthammer, and likely be a better person for it. The text above represents only a portion of her those weekly essays. Click the respective links for the full articles. Yes, reading is not as effortless as listening to Oprah or The View. But, your time will be much, much more well-spent.

It's war, candy-ass, not tiddlywinks

Very briefly, because I'm busy with trying to shake some new clients off the new-client tree, I'd like to relay a measure of rememberance. Today is the 26th Anniversary of those terrorist murders of 241 of our Marines and Sailors in Beirut. To those who gave their lives that day, and those friends and family members who grieve, my eternal gratitude for your willingness to stand in the way of those who wish harm upon my country.

I'm feeling a sadness today, brought on by that memory and the very real fear that our country is being led down a path of vulnerability from which we will not return, or even survive.

For those who would like a photo essay on the difference between a Commander in Chief and a Coward in Chief, please see my friends at Flopping Aces. If you've come to grasp the concept of cause and effect, that is, that leadership (and of course, the lack thereof) has its rewards and consequences, then you'll join me in a prayer of thanks for those in our Military and for effective leadership like President Bush, and another prayer that we survive the current state of our exposed underbelly. Very enlightening, and poignant. It'd be funny if it weren't so sad.

Anybody else sick of the fact that the current adminstration can orchestrate an effective war on Fox News, but can't man up on the job for which they were elected?

You are irrelevant

My good friend Denise, the high-priestess of the church of chocolate, tipped me to this video.

If and when you come to the conclusion that your elected representatives no longer listen to you (their employers) nor abide by their very own rules, are you content to wait for election time to roll back around when you'll then be able to vote (a vote which may or may not even count) to kick them out?

Here, you have Murtha abusing his power as Chairman in recognizing a very questionable (to say the least) vote count (in committee) as definitive, in spite of vocal disagreement, and refusing parliamentary challenges to his presumed authority to do so: "The Chair's decision is not subject to question." Recently, you've also seen a Congressman tell a constituent (his constituent!) that no one was going to tell him how to run his Congressional office. Town Hall meetings are being held over the telephone as a manner of controlling waves of dissenting public opinion. Would-be funny guy Al Franken was the beneficiary of crooked vote-counting (and re-counting and re-counting) until enough votes for him were "found" and his election then quickly certified (need I tell you which party was in charge of this fiasco?). And on and on.

Are you satisfied that your one vote is enough? Have you pierced the MSNBC-induced stupor of your friends and neighbors with some harsh truth? Have you bothered to tell your congressperson that you're sick of being labeled a racist for simply not knuckling under? Or, are you sharpening your own pitchfork, yet?

In light of, count them with me now, five sting-operation videos where ACORN advocates are seen and heard providing guidance toward setting up child-smuggling-and-prostitution houses, working to help fund the operation, giving tax advice, offering to aid said smuggling, and admitting to other crimes...and not even batting an eyelash, you haven't heard (except some efforts to discredit the reporters-Breitbart, O'Keefe, and Giles) any contributions from the ostrich media. In a world where every conceivable outlet scrambles to climb on the bandwagon and steal the thunder of any 'scoop' it's always: "Get me the local angle, dammit!" we're left with, instead...crickets.

Oh wait...stop the presses. We do have Jon Stewart:

Criminal conspiracy is not out of the ordinary for these folks, but an absolutely ingrained character trait. And now, the White says it wants to distance itself from ACORN. As Michelle says, "Obama can no more disown ACORN than he can his own shadow... He is ACORN, and ACORN is him." Furthermore, ACORN made Obama who he is, and he made them who they are. These are people who do not have a Utopian vision for America, but a vile and destructive one. Do not let anyone tell you that their existence (O!Bummer's and ACORN's) is coincidental. These are people who wish to do you harm, and do harm to your liberty and freedom.

In her email, she said she didn't think I'd believe it, the video of Murtha. Well, the opposite is true. I do believe it. The Far Left has found itself in the perfect storm of unprecedented power. They're acting in their own interests with impunity, and not only do I believe it, but I expect it. I fear the results, here at home and also abroad.

And I worry that my countrymen, hypnotized in their ignorance by ABC, CNN, CBS, NBC, & MSNBC, do not fear those effects enough.

Read this, before watching that

Updated...see below...

Having monitored the traffic to this blog, I can report that the number of visitors dwarfs the number of commenters at about 200 to one. Either the handful of those commenting are checking back for updates every 10 minutes (now that's dedication) or there's lots of lurkers about. I suspect the latter.

I also suspect those lurking remain so because of their dissenting opinions opposite mine, and their relative inferiority toward voicing and supporting those arguments. Fine, I say. I'm happy to think that at least you've maybe learned something while you were here.

You've no doubt witnessed the smack-down I administered to the Dude Carriage (an America-hating troll who I'd journalistically thumped over at Kate's several times) on a couple of occasions, and you're reluctant to find yourself behind a similar woodshed. Rest assured, though, that dingbat brought it on hisself. Respectful disagreement is absolutely welcome here, poking the bear with a pointy stick without regard for the consequences could foster, what you might consider, a negative result.

That said, I'd like to clarify a small misconception. Although I won't call her by name (it rhymes with Schmerlfriend's Schmother), a comment she verbalized got back to me which I'll reference. She said, "All those Republicans get their misinformation from Fox News." Well, that got me wondering how much, in the great equation of political/social/cultural influence, real informational impact do I glean from Fox? The answer is, and I know you'll probably get all wee-wee'd up: virtually none. I get most of what I call news from online newspapers, the Drudge Report (which if you don't know, doesn't color the news, he just hands it to you without soliloquy), National Public Radio (don't think I'm not grinding my teeth through nigh every episode), Libertarian (not Republican) Neal Boortz' Neal's Nuze, and my fellow bloggers. And almost universally, when I read something that references another item, I follow back to the referenced article. I think it an insult when anyone pretends my (or that of my fellow Republicans) informational palette is narrowly supplied.

Like a good percentage of those bloggers I've come to admire, I came from a family of Democrats and was surrounded by Democrats most of my life, and considered myself one because I didn't know any better. On September 11, 2001, I thanked God that we had a Republican in the White House, and I still thank Dubya for not flinching for 8 years and having the huevos to carry more than empty rhetoric to the presidency (at least as applied to the question of national security). Also, on that day, I became a sponge for honest news. I found that Fox could deliver more-accurate reportage, but they even still couldn't refrain from too much color-commentary, and because they suffer from the same programmed mindset of how best to attract dedicated viewers, there's still too many fluff pieces for my liking. And I can't stomach shows featuring a "moderator" and three or more "experts" yelling at, and over, each other. I just don't get that, at all.

But this post isn't so much about Fox News, but about listening skeptically to what you're told.

In the final Presidential debate last October, both candidates were asked a rhetorical question by a caller. The lady said, and I'm paraphrasing, "What is it that you do not know, and how do you expect to learn it?"

I don't always have the perfect response to a question myself, but I immediately wished I could whisper in Senator McCain's ear: What I don't know is how can it be possible that a man...with zero leadership experience on one hand and a bagful of very scary historical associations (Wright, Ayers, Jones, ACORN, the corrupt Chicago political machine, communist personal mentor Frank Marshall Davis, and not-to-mention George Soros and Saul Alinsky) on the other, plus more than a little uncertainty regarding his citizenship and education on a third hand, ...could have poll numbers reflecting serious consideration for electing him President of these United States? And the way I expect to learn it is to watch what I call the Mainstream Media and see if they continue pandering to Socialist principles or decide to show his warts and strange, strange bedfellows the harsh light of day.

In that moment, while Johnnie Mac stumbled, stuttered, and lost his nerve, the election of 2008 was lost to a man who despises America, but has a pleasant speaking voice that masks his malevolent intent for destroying the fabric of this country.

I didn't know how and why so many people that I cared for, lots of intelligent folks, were so easily duped by him, but one thing that event spawned, for better or worse, was this blog, as an attempt at to clearly voice my dissention and opposition to the dumbing-down of the masses in general, and those who know me, in particular. Since its launch, I've come to know some truly outstanding minds, and am encouraged by the wave of patriotism amid which I find myself. Truly, I've stated before and shall reiterate, the smartest excuse you could have for visiting here could be checking the updates of those in my blogroll above left.

One very recent addition that you should note is Truth Or Consequences, by Jim Simpson. I began reading his work after being directed (by Boortz) to an essay he wrote a year ago in The American Thinker, "Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis."

If you haven't heard of the Cloward-Piven Strategy, hatched in 1966 to create orchestrated calamity as a tool to engender a nationwide shift to embrace socialism, please follow the link to Mr. Simpson's essay. Also, if you choose to consider yourself a person who isn't easily fooled by those who would make them so, and you are open to reading one thing which doesn't fall lockstep into programmed liberalist/progressive/socialist so-called "intellectual" thought, please read the referenced essay. This work is the most-comprehensive piece that ties all of Obama's relationships, tutoring, and associations (not to mention his obligations!) into one package. And guess what, none of it is good. You may hear folks like Olberman and Matthews wax poetic about it (the essay) being unflattering, but you will not hear anyone disputing its veracity. This environment is where Obama's thinking was born and incubated, so it's not difficult at all to understand his rationale for appointing Van Jones, an avowed Communist, to a position of authority.

And that leads me to tonight's speech to be delivered to the joint session of Congress, where the great Community Organizer, defacto President of the United States, will push again for the passing of his so-called "healthcare reform" bill. If you choose to listen to him reading his teleprompter, please keep in the back of your mind this: The only certainty regarding government-run healthcare is that it will empower the government and further addict the populace to that same entity. The people who show up at Town Hall meetings are people just like me, who see corruption for what it is, and refuse to grant Washington DC more complete control of their lives, not paid shills for the Republican party. They are terrified of what more power, in the hands of those whose only purpose (and I'm talking about both sides of the aisle) is to increase their power and feather their own nests, means as a trade-off: more for them equals less for us. This is why you heard a Congessmen say in a Town Hall meeting yesterday, "You aren't allowed to film in here because it's my Town Hall meeting...And you're not going to tell me how to run my Congressional Office." -Democrat Baron Hill, Indiana.

Thanks to Flopping Aces for the video. Sorry to burst their bubble, but I will be telling them all exactly how to run their Congressional Offices, and I expect you should be also.

Please take it from me, one who ably chooses to process a wide palette of information, a cancer survivor who has battled his insurance company and hospital, was fired from his job over the diagnosis, who can't afford insurance ($2100 per month), and who was handed a bill for medical services (over $50,000) in spite of assured "complete coverage"...The federal government sticking its grubby self-serving hands into the healthcare equation is already part of the problem, and can't possibly be trusted as part of the solution. The current laws (laws, I say!) that preclude insurance companies from selling policies across state lines and limit your ability as the insured from changing jobs without losing your insurance, coupled with insane lawsuits and the higher medical costs that that process leads to (because of the absurd costs of malpractice insurance), benefit only the lawyers!...and, of course, those lawyers posing as elected representatives who enacted them.

Your addiction to their "care" is the set of shackles that enslaves you to them. The more authority and control and power you grant them, the less of it remains with you. There will be a faceless bureaucrat deciding whether you're worthy (because of your potential future contribution to the community) of that bypass surgery or should receive end-of-life counseling, if and when the federal government supplies/oversees your insurance. Consider as you listen to this America-hating communist speak tonight, the same person who actually said the new healthcare program would be run as smoothly and efficiently as the US Postal Service (you can scream now), the chart below illustrates the environment wherein he learned what he knows, and explains what is truly in his heart. Thanks again to Jim at Truth or Consequences. Click image to enlarge. UPDATE: It seems that clicking on image does nothing to help view it, so I re-inserted a larger version.

I apologize for the enormity of this post, but had to get it all off my chest. If you've read this and you're still making excuses for the left, and still taking what the MSM says as honestly newsworthy, then I say you are either lamentably ignorant or intentionally un-American.

If you're like me, then you most likely seek out that which is true and honest and good, and do your best to shun and not tolerate that which is rotten and vile. The one real benefit from the radical left's ascension to power is, that if we choose to see it for what it is, the intentional subversion of our country's founding principles, our core values will be strengthened and unified and we may never wander foolishly down this idiotic collective alleyway again.

You can't go back and change your vote, but you can change your way of thinking, and method by which you get your information.

Final note to Schmom, I bet I read ten times as much McClatchey newspaper propaganda and at least twice as much NPR as your limited exposure to Fox News. Which among us is the better informed, and more intellectually well-rounded?

Update #2: Thanks to Jim for providing additional links to his entire series, and a special essay on Obamacare's relationship to Cloward-Piven.

Cockroaches scurry under Malkin's bright light

You've gotta love Michelle Malkin. Listening to her, you get calm rational logic. But pay attention also to the so-called hosts of these shows. It should come as no surprise that Matt Lauer and the ladies from The View are blind, mindless disciples of the O!Bummer messiah. See how they (especially the one named Joy, I think) spit bile when Malkin says unfavorable things about the Big Zero's top-to-bottom infestation of cheats, crooks and cronies in the administration. Watch her disgust as she says, "...every broken promise: transparency, accountability, ethics...failing to deliver" and then squirming in their seats to interject and derail. Listen to Whoopie a time or two and see if her "question" even sounds like a question. See if you can easily substitute the phrase, "I don't like what you're saying, so I'm going to displace what you're saying with nonsense, or so our audience members don't hear everything you say, you heretic."

First, get some of this...

Then go check out how she lays waste to Lauer. I love his "she just completely ate my lunch" look as he says, "lot of comments there, this is Today and we'll be back."

But in the 2nd half of the Lauer video, Krauthammer unifies the entire point: Obama's campaign led so many of the middle-ground voters to believe that his presidency would transcend the muck and mire and general bullshit that we've come to expect from politicians...that there would be a genuineness and wholesomeness in the White House, and that what we've gotten instead is perhaps the most corrupt and dispicable administration in history, and precisely the loathing of America preached by Reverend Wright.

Lauer said at one point, "He (meaning Obama) hasn't gotten to where he has today by being a 'racial opportunist' has he?" Well yeah, Matt. That's exactly why.
